Thirty. Two. I am so looking forward to this year, that I wanted to celebrate. And I wanted to celebrate with my girlfriends who are my family and support group here in DC. So I arranged a brunch at La Jambe - a French wine bar in the Shaw neighborhood.
I say it many times, and I’ll say it again: Nothing can beat Washington DC in the springtime. The weather warms up earlier (early April) and there are flowers and blooming trees everywhere. And of course, there are the cherry blossoms.
We had talked for a few months about taking a girls trip to Richmond, an idea that formed after a few glasses of vino, and we decided to put our plan into action! Richmond is the perfect weekend getway from DC and allowed us to have a nice break from the winter motonomy. We are all lovers of historic places, so the weekend was chock full of sites and museums, but we also found time to test out Richmond breweries and fantastic restaurants.
This past weekend, we spontaneously decided to head to Bethany Beach for the President’s Day holiday. We just had to get out of town and press the reset button. No better place to do that than at the beach.
